Knowledge

Knowledge Files, FAQs and Shareable Files, and how the agent uses each.

An agent answers from what you give it. There are three kinds of knowledge, each for a different job.

Knowledge Files

Files the agent can use as context. Upload PDFs, PNG, JPEG or WebP images, up to 25 MB each.

After upload, each file is processed so the agent can search it. Its status shows next to it:

StatusMeaning
QueuedWaiting to be processed.
ProcessingBeing read and indexed.
ReadyThe agent can search it.
FailedIt could not be processed. Try uploading it again.

When someone asks something a file covers, the agent searches your files and answers from what it finds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers the agent can use as context. Click Add FAQ and write:

  • Question: how people usually ask it.
  • Answer: what the agent should say. Keep the facts exact.

The agent answers from an FAQ whenever someone asks something similar, even in different words.

Shareable Files

Images and PDFs the agent can show to people it chats with, like a payment QR code, photos of your place, or your menu. Upload PDF, PNG, JPEG or WebP files, up to 10 MB each, and describe what they are for.

The description matters: it is how the agent finds the right file. "Our payment QR code, for guests who ask how to pay" lets the agent show the QR code when someone asks how to pay.

You can also make a Knowledge File shareable: open its actions and choose Make this shareable, then answer What is this file for?

Shared files expire

Links to shared files are signed and expire. Visitors always get a fresh link when they load the conversation again.
